Are all your NRPE clients going to be using port 5669? If so, you could edit commands.cfg and add the parameter "-p 5669" to the check_nrpe command. If you have a mixture of clients using port 5666 and 5669, then I would suggest updating the command to use something like "-p $ARG2$" and you would then modify the service's definition to specify the port. Check out https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... e/NRPE.pdf starting on page 8 for examples.

i nagios core all systems setups are fine ,
but suddenly two systems are gone down ,it is showing error as
Host Status: DOWN (for 0d 1h 11m 6s)
Status Information: (Host check timed out after 30.01 seconds)

for referred this below links still my problem is not resolved kindly please help regarding i am using ubuntu os (i used all steps to clear my error still i am unable get output)
