missing plugins ?

Post by seapro220 »

Hello.
new 18.04 server with 4.x nagios running.
my configs (switch/server/etc) have commands in them like - check_snmp or check_hpjd to check different process. I'm getting failures whenever i check these services and it seems like those - and probably other 'check_insert-name-here' commands are in my /libexec directory. As this was/is a default config - and i rant the process for getting nagios-plugins-release-2.2.1 including the compile/build/make/etc I'd thought I have all the 'plugins' and commands that i need. Apparantly not.

Where are those plugins - or all, even if i dont need them now - so that i can continue on. The devices answer back with ping - but none of the otehr info is being processed or retrieved.

i've installed ncpa and can open/view on the host server w/o issues.

thanks -

How did you install Nagios Core and nagios plugins? Did you following the guides below?

Can you list the plugins that you currently have in the libexec directory?

Code: Select all

ls -la /usr/local/nagios/libexec
