can i insert data directly to ndomod mysql db for nagios?

Hi, people.

I have nagios core, and I would like to insert information directly to the ndomod database, for example host, services, hostgroups, etc.
I was trying to insert information, but when restarting the nagios service, the inserted information is deleted.
Will it be possible or is it only used to replicate information from the nagios configuration files?

On startup Nagios disables all objects and then creates/activates all objects based on the current configuration.
