Hello @Sankar,
Here are the instructions for upgrading Nagios Core. You'll want to make appropriate backups of your configurations and/or take a VM snapshot so you can roll back easily.

Hi Benjamin,
Here i am trying to upgrade a Nagios which is running on Openstack PODs. Its not a VM.
What are configurations need to be backed up.
We had backed up

/usr/lib/cgi-bin/nagios3
/usr/share/nagios3/htdocs
/etc/nagios3/apache2.conf
/var/log/nagios3

Hello Sankar,
I'm not familiar with that directory structure. Typically, everything will be found in the /usr/local/nagios folder. If you just want to backup the object configurations, those are found in /usr/local/nagios/etc folder.
