Passing a holiday calendar to Time Periods?

Post by sjordi »

Hi,
is there a way to let Nagios ignore some specific days within the year?

Mainly, if it's set to send alerts on Mon-Fri 8am-6pm, is there a way to
let it "load" a configuration file that has holiday dates so it stops sending
alerts on those specific dates? Like July 4th, XMas, etc?

Thanks for any help.

Yes, you can configure a timeperiod containing your normal alerting hours, then exclude days from another timeperiod. See: http://nagios.sourceforge.net/docs/3_0/ ... timeperiod
