We are researching about Nagios system and we need to know if the community version works over Azure server deployment, we have hybrid cloud services as well some on-premise systems that could be monitored with Nagios system, that's our interest on it.

Nagios Core on Ubuntu VMs

I have tested that specifically, but I would really appreciate your experiences with it.

As you have a supported OS running on a VM, you should be able to get it up and running.
