This is my first post on the forums, having been watching and searching them for a few days now.
I'm involved with a project to create a RHEL 8.2 build to run inside zVMs on an IBM Z15. I'm trying to find compatibility information which will tell me whether or not Nagios can be used to monitor RHEL on a Z15. Currently we're on SCOM2016 ( because my company is mostly a Windows shop ); I don't particularly want to upgrade to SCOM 2019 because Microsoft are not, understandably, as supportive of Linux as they are of Windows. Ergo I'm looking at other solutions such as Solarwinds, AppDynamics ( less than ideal ), potentially just use Satellite, or, my preferred choice because of their track record; Nagios.
If anyone could advise as to whether or not Nagios is practical for this use case, I would greatly appreciate the help.
