Inconsistant Number of items Monitored on Linux

Post by uber.unixman »

I have Nagios XI console and I have installed the agent for linux (linux-nrpe-agent.tar.gz) and on the console some systems that were cloned from the same image show differently. Some show just show "Current Load", "Current Users", and "Total Processes" and others show that plus items like "Disk Usage", CPU Stats", "Load", "Memory Usage", etc.

Is there a config file I need to tweak? Is it on the system with the Nagios console or the nrpe agent?
I'm new to Nagios and need a little direction.

It depends on how the services (checks) are set up in core config manager (CCM). Take checking CPU usage for example. Some people set up a different service for each host and others set up a single service and add hosts (or hostgroups) to it.
You'll need to check in CCM how your services are set up and either add services, or add hosts/hostgroups to the existing services.
