Updating Hosts file

Post by s.gurdon »

Hello, I'm fairly new to Nagios, and we recently had a host change its IP. I was wondering how I could force this update within my hosts.cfg file or if there were away to do it. Example the ip address 192.168.100.10 is now 192.168.101.10. I've already made the change within the hosts.cfg file its not populating to the web page however.

Is hosts.cfg a collection of Nagios host objects?

Whenever Nagios object definitions are changed, you need to restart the Nagios Core daemon for those changes to be applied.
