We forward events to a central console (HP Operations Manager) via an event handler. From what I can see scheduling down time just prevents the email notifications from being sent from Nagios.
Would be nice (for us at least..!) to be able to have the option of scheduling event handler down time as well, stopping the event handler from firing for a known down time period.
