Winrpe CPU error

Post by thomsany »

Hey guys good afternoon.
Hope all is well.
I am trying to monitor my remote Windows server with Nagios community and Winrpe client from https://itefix.net/.
I already got to monitor, memory, Disk space, everything except CPU where I get a read of 0% utilization.
If I run the command locally on the server I get this error:

C:\Program Files\ICW\bin>check_pdm.exe --processor
'dumb': unknown terminal type.
PROCESSOR OK - usage 0.00%|'processor usage'=0.00%;;;

I don't understand why it's not working.
Any suggestion? I have the latest winrpe client installed for 64bit systems (I have Windows 2019 standard).

Hi Teo,

I haven't come across that build for NRPE, but we have another open-source agent that works on Windows or Linux called NCPA (Nagios Cross-Platform Agent).

I would highly recommend giving NCPA a try. It has a built-in API to handle the most popular checks.
