Good morning everyone,
I've been asked to install a Nagios Core server to monitor the UP or DOWN state of all of our routers, our server must only send a ping to the public IP addresses of our costumers and send email notifications in case of DOWNs or UPs.
What could be the hardware requirements for this specific use case? consider that for now we need to monitor around 500 hosts, but as a growing business in the near future we will need to monitor more of them so we'd like to do little to no hardware changes in the near future.
Thanks.
