Wanting to learn Nagios XI

Postby kylebreit96 » Sat Jul 24, 2021 12:16 am

I am a student and want to learn how to use Nagios XI so I can better prepare for the industry. Most of the books that I have seen are from back in 2013 and don't mention version XI. Can anyone recommend a book for the current version or perhaps a YouTube or Udemy lesson for me to learn how to use this? I would like to become proficient for an entry level enterprise position.

Hi @kylebreit96,

There's a free version of Nagios XI available (up to 100 checks). I would recommend setting this up at home or on your laptop using Vmplayer o to get started.

After that, I would check out our youtube channel to get started. The Get Monitoring Series is a good way to dive in.

Also, I lot of good tutorials and setup guides are available on the knowledge base.

Good luck and let us know if you need help with anything.
