Event Handler not executed

Hi,
We are using Nagios XI.
Event handler was not exectued when the host was down due to which ticket was not generated in servicenow.
Following is the snippet from event log
Warning: Host event handler ‘/usr/local/nagios/libexec/event_handler_host.sh AS-CN-AB-AB136-F01-03 DOWN HARD “CRITICAL – 10.44.97.7; rta nan, lost 100%” 0 “” “10.44.97.7” “CHINA” “NULL” “NULL” “NULL” timed out after 0.00 seconds
Can you please let us know the reason why the event handler was not executed.
