Monitoring Dual Boot Machine

Post by Hij4ck »

Hello All,

I do want to monitor a dual boot machine(Host A & Host B) which can switch between Windows 2003 & 2012 R2.

As the machine switch from OS often, i do not want to get crazy notifications that my Host is down, i'd rather disable them.

So my question is : Can i configure a Host dependencies like this :

If Host A is switching to Host B, then notifications for Host A are disabled, and if Host B switch back to Host A, notifications for Host B are disabled ?

Then, i do want to get notifications only if both of the Hosts are down.

Thanks

check_multi, or BPI, are your free options:

You'd create a check_multi definition for your 2 host's check commands (probably check_ping as it stands?), and assign it to both of the hosts. Same deal with the services if you have them defined.
