Since the VSphere Perl SDK is deprecated and will be discontinued, is there another SDK that you would recommend to provide similar functionality? I assume this will render check_esx3.pl useless. Thank you.

To be honest I’m surprised they kept both of those around as long as they did. Don’t get me wrong I personally don’t mind Perl at all, but too many new users have never even heard of it these days.

I did think .NET had a larger base of users, but as a cross platform language it tried, but never quite soared.

I just had the memory of Java being called Hot Coffee initially and had the overwhelming urge to evict someone from the grass in my yard.
