ncpa - check load vs cpu load

Post by cormansa »

Hi,

I'm facing a little problem.
I'm moving from nrpe to NCPA :)

But I see on the documentation there are no check_load in NCPA.
I'm ok to move to check CPU usage, but I need to be convinced.

There are a debate on internet about loadavg usage and alerting/monitoring theses values.
So basically, what check I must use for have the same result or alerting than loadavg,

I mean, "ok", I replace check_load by check CPU usage (global and average) but what data I miss (maybe) ?
Maybe there are some tips or script for check waiting IO (can be usefull :!: )

So what do you think :?:
