Nagios HOST in command

Postby motown_sk » Wed Sep 07, 2022 3:57 pm

I run multiple servers and I have a custom notification command ( twilio sms ) that I'd like to share between the servers. I figure I can put the command definition in a stand alone file that can be shared on the relevant hosts, and in doing so I'd like to use a macro/variable for the nagios hostname ( and not the $HOSTNAME$ of the alerting device ); that way I don't have to have a custom file on each server.

Is there a variable that stores the nagios server host? I've done some digging but I can't find anything referencing this, likely because $HOSTNAME$ is swamping my results.
