Incorrect recognition of disk space in snmp on Windows server

Post by stellasefin »

Hello everyone,
I am running the trial version of Nagios XI (latest release).
I was thinking of using it mainly to analyze via SNMP of Windows VMs.
However, I detected a problem on disk space analysis on large disks (more than 10 TB)

Specifically:
Windows Server 2012
Disk "E:" of the size of 19.9TB
Used space 18.8
Free space 1.12TB

The Nagios dashboard shows me (I copy the result as presented)
E:\ Label:NAS_TML Serial Number d6cedb6c: 109%used(-13761793MB/-12582912MB) (>95%) : CRITICAL

The total disk space detected is only about 12 TB.

Can you help me identify the reason?

Thanks a lot.

Hi @stellasefin,

This user had a similar issue and resolved it by downloading an updating version of the check_snmp_storage plugin. Download the one linked in the response and overwrite the copy in the /usr/local/nagios/libexec folder. Hope this helps!

Thank you!
