Hi
I have a Windows host that runs some tasks every day between say 3:00AM and 4:00AM causing high CPU usage. I get alerts for it every night. I have tweaked a bit to avoid getting these specific alerts. However, I am now wondering if there is a way to do time exclusions for services. So say, I can define that no alerts should be sent out for this particular service checks if it occurs between 3:00AM and 4:00AM?
Thanks

Re: nagios check time exclusions
You can configure time-periods (http://nagios.sourceforge.net/docs/3_0/timeperiods.html) for the service or for the contact that will prevent it checking or notifying. There used to be a plugin for Core to do recurring scheduled downtime as well... but I haven't seen that in a while.
Re: nagios check time exclusions
There are quite a number of plugins on the exchange for recurring/scheduled downtime.
