Hi everyone!
I'm new to Linux and new to Nagios.
I followed the guide - http://nagios.sourceforge.net/docs/3_0/ ... buntu.html to the letting. When i load up the web interface after installation I have in the hosts tab my host showing as down! The status information displays - (Return code of 127 is out of bounds - plugin may be missing).
I think I've installed the plugin correctly and I've got back and tried installing the plugin again but I still get the same issue.
I've also restarted the server.
My installation is the latest edition on uBuntu server 12.10
Any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks!
Andy

Re: Host Plugin not working
Can you check permissions on your plugins folder:
ls -l /etc/nagios-plugins/config
I believe this is where the plugins are installed to with the old documentation, we have a new form of installing from source on Ubuntu which makes all the paths the same across the board so it is easier to follow documentation, and for support to assist:
http://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nagi ... Source.pdf
ls -l /etc/nagios-plugins/config

Re: Host Plugin not working
Which plugin are you trying to setup?
Is it a localhost check or a remote host?
Could you post the config file for the service and host you are having a problem with?
If it is an nrpe plugin, could you post your nrpe.cfg for the checked host?
