Monitoring Engine Event Queue

Post by paul.jobb »

This graph seems to have stopped working, I have restarted nagios with no effect, Monitoring is working fine though.

I posted a possible fix here:

http://support.nagios.com/forum/viewtop ... 92#p114544

If you have a lot of objects being monitored that might be the cause.

This is a bug that we may have fixed in the next version of XI. The workaround in below:
It appears that when you have *around* 1,000 checks in a minute, the graph stops displaying. I will try to get more numbers in the forum thread.

The fix seemed to be removing the "tickInterval: 2," line from ajaxhelpers-monitoringengine.inc.php near line 540, but that seemed to fix it only for approximately 20 minutes for one customer.

Hey,

For your information. I rebooted my production server today and after the reboot, my graphs also did seem to have stopped working. Tried restarting the NPCD service, but it didn't help. Decided to reboot the Nagios Server one more time and then the graphs started working again. Didn't make a post for hits, but seeing this thread, it might be related.

Grtz

Good to know. Can you test the above "workaround"?
