Is that log file present? Were you expecting to receive notifications but did not?

I encountered the same problem like this, from the 'Nagios.log' file I only saw host & service alerts but no host & service notifications recorded.
Did you find the key to resolve the problem ?

Do you have notification logging enabled?

Code: Select all

grep log_notifications /usr/local/nagios/etc/nagios.cfg

Was this issue resolved?
I am having a similar issue. I am receiving email notifications for each host and service except one service. This is the 'Log Monitoring' service that I have defined. The Nagios GUI shows CRITICAL but I receive no email for the same. Also, the CRITICAL state changes to OK in the next service check. I am using the check_logfiles plugin.

Thanks,

It does not look like this issue was ever completed. As it is over a year old, please open a new post and we will be happy to help there!
Nagios-Plugins maintainer exclusively, unless you have other C language bugs with open-source nagios projects, then I am happy to help! Please pm or use other communication to alert me to issues as I no longer track the forum.
