XI 2014R1.5 -> 2014R2.0
Red Hat 6.5 64bit
Click on the graph sign from Services
Clicks on service and choose Performance Graph
I will not comment on what's wrong with the second graph, it is very obvious.
My question
1) How do I make the second graph display the same way as the first?
2) Is is possible to use Nagiosgraph with XI. I tried it with Nagios Core and it is very good.

Re: Nagios 2014R2.0 Graph Issues
It looks like the addition of the datapoints in text for the second image forced those to display on individual lines, and thus squished the graph. It is still technically displaying the same information, but in a much more difficult way to read. Let me speak with our developers on if there is an option to alter this by default or if we can detect that and handle accordingly.
I would not suggest it, and we have not support for that particular software. You are of course welcome to try it, but it may result in your build having issues that we simply cannot support. I also do not know how it will work with or react to our locations of data and permissions.

Re: Nagios 2014R2.0 Graph Issues
I just spoke with our developers. One point in particular we wanted to mention before moving on, is that the graphs are initially created at a size proportional to your screen. It appears that your screen might be very small and for this particular issue, is definitely effecting this. Regardless, we do consider it a bug, that it is able to shink the graph so far, and will be enabling an option to disable the additional metrics output within graphs, just how your first image looks. We are also going to up the minimum size for graphs, despite screen size to help alleviate this somewhat.

We have also run into this issue, sometimes we are forced to switch back to the legacy graphs during an incident to have clarity. For instance of of disk checks may have over 10 volumes, making the graph inusable.sreinhardt wrote:I just spoke with our developers. We are also interested in a solution for this.

Thank you for your input @mberkley, the devs are aware of the issue.

No, my screen is not small, 1366 x 786. Same issue with 1248 x 1024.sreinhardt wrote:I just spoke with our developers. The easiest solution would be to split into individual graphs like what the legacy version does.
Please give a solution to this fast. The noise level from the users is very high.
Thanks

Re: Nagios 2014R2.0 Graph Issues
Was there any resolution to this issue yet? Many of our users complain about it as well when looking at graphs under the "performance graphs" tab of a service, and I have to instruct them to use the Graph Explorer instead, which is more awkward when just wanting to see a quick overview.
Re: Nagios 2014R2.0 Graph Issues
No resolution just yet.
