This all came to light because we copied the gauge dashlet and made it output a table instead. Moved to prod server and didn't work, so then I tested the gauge dashlet and found it had same issue. Both gauge dashlets are same version and the utils.*.php files are all same too, so its not that. If you'd like to look that'd be great....having the gauge dashlet working would be good.
