Disk IO Usage warning Notifications

Post by hlohotsoeum »

Hi all

I have basic understanding of nagios, may I be assisted on why I keep getting the below warning:

***** Nagios *****

Notification Type: PROBLEM

Service: Disk IO Usage
Host: affected host
Address: xxx.xx.xx.xx
State: WARNING

Date/Time: Tue Feb 3 15:08:41 SAST 2015

Additional Info:

DISK WARNING - free space: / 40888 MB (85% inode=93%): /dev/shm 7949 MB (100% inode=99%): /boot 427 MB (93% inode=99%): /home 1725442 MB (99% inode=99%):

The servers disk usage is on 17%, so why am I getting these warnings, is there maybe an application that could be causing this to happen?

df -h

Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/mapper/root 50G 7.7G 40G 17% /
tmpfs 7.8G 0 7.8G 0% /dev/shm
/dev/sdax 485M 32M 428M 7% /boot
/dev/mapper/home 1.8T 196M 1.7T 1% /home

Kind regards

Can you post the service check details, or the full command run by the check? I am particularly interested in the thresholds for the check . . .
