Need suggestions about a FrontEnd Configurator

Post by edlentz »

Hi I have used another product in the past to manage nagios, but only for a short time. I need to install Nagios Core 4 on some existing systems. I am in need of a way to add Hosts / Services/ & Contacts similat to what the other product did. Is there a similar add on in the Exchange? I looked but didn't see much.

Thanks for any suggestions.

You could look into using NagiosQL: http://www.nagiosql.org/

It's not something we write ourselves, but a lot of Core users use it and it has a pretty solid following.

Otherwise our commercial product, Nagios XI, does that and a lot more: http://www.nagios.com/products/nagiosxi

We offer a fully-functional 60-day trial if you are interested.

Of course you're talking about Nagios XI, right? :)

If you need help with NagiosQL I would suggest using their forum as that is not a project we maintain and they would be much more familiar with the codebase.

Of course I was talking about NagiosX1 [couch, cough] :) If our deployments would lend to installing X1 on each one we would definately go that route.

Thanks again

You're quite welcome.

I'll be closing this thread now, but feel free to open another if you need anything in the future!
