show nested relationships between host groups ?

Post by stucky »

Hi
I have nested hostgroups so I can overwrite services on a lover level and that works. What is very difficult is keeping track of the relationships since nagios doesn't show the nested relationship anywhere at all. I'm currently using a naming convention to help me but I really wish there was a tool that would display the groups hierarchically.
Just confirming that there is no such thing at this time. Maybe a 3rd party add-on ?

thx

Unfortunately, such a feature does not currently exist and I do not know of any third party addon that could provide the desired functionality.

The closest I can think of is the "Show Relationships" button the CCM - though I do not think this will want the entire inherited relationships.

Which "show relationships" button are you referring to ? I don't see that.

In the CCM it's the blue button with the "i" on it:
