SNMP trap issue

Post by btemple »

For some reason my server is no longer processing trap events. I can send test traps , see them in the snmptt.log , but the service associated with the event does not change to critical. The OID is clearly defined as critical.

Any thoughts ???

We are running XI 2014R2.7

Please zip up and PM me your /var/log/snmptt directory and your /etc/snmp directory.

Also, post an example of one that is having the issue so that I can narrow it down.

Edit: Received files and placed in the shared support directory.

Is it only for this Websense Alert or is happening for all of traps?

Make sure that you change it to Critical in your /usr/share/snmp/mibs/processed_mibs/WBSN-APPLIANCE-MIB.txt file and then restart snmptt:

Code: Select all

service snmptt restart
