Sorry about that..
I don't believe it is random. But not an expert. I believe that number (3705032704) is nominal speed (which is used where true speed can't be calculated).
ifSpeed (1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.5) Defination.....
An estimate of the interface’s current bandwidth in bits per second. For interfaces that do not vary in
bandwidth or for those where no accurate estimation can be made, this object should contain the nominal
bandwidth.
We have many interfaces reporting this same number across our cisco storage switches (9500, 9148). Either way, I believe we need to use ifHighSpeed if HighSpeed > 4.2 GB. If you need additional info please let me know.
Thanks.

XI Network Wizard - Bandwidth speed issue
Re: XI Network Wizard - Bandwidth speed issue
I have Created two internal bug reports for these 2 issues (ifHighSpeed and threshold percentages). I do not have a timeline for the fix, but we are now aware of the issues and they will be looked at some time in the future.
Code: Select all
TASK ID 5747 - Nagios XI Bug Report: Network switch and router wizard fails to detect the proper max bandwidth of devices that use the ifHighSpeed.x oid due to having a max bandwidth over 4.2 Gbps.Code: Select all
TASK ID 5748 - Nagios XI Bug Report: Network switch and router wizard fails to calculate the threshold percentages when doing so requires returning decimals.Former Nagios employee

Re: XI Network Wizard - Bandwidth speed issue
No problem. Keep an eye on the Nagios XI release notes for updates on these bug fixes.

Re: XI Network Wizard - Bandwidth speed issue
Hello brdr,
I wanted to get some more information before I make changes to the wizard. Can you send me a PM the mrtg .cfg file of the high speed device that you ran the wizard against. Make sure to redact any sensitive information. The file should be located here:
/etc/mrtg/conf.d/<device IP>.cfg
Also, could you provide the version of XI you are using and the version of the wizard.
I don't think fixing these bugs will be too difficult, but want to make sure to not change anything that might be working correctly.
Thanks, and I will get back to this once I get your cfg file

Re: XI Network Wizard - Bandwidth speed issue
I've PM the config. Version info is the first post within this post. Please let me know if you more info.
Re: XI Network Wizard - Bandwidth speed issue
Thanks for the quick answer, but I didn't see the .cfg in the PM you sent back. Might have to change it to a .txt for it to work.
