New to Nagios

Post by carsonn »

Hello,

I am very new to Nagios and have sort of taken over from a coworker who has left.

I am in configuration manager and wish to change or browse a host that is being monitored. I wish to browse a host and see what settings are selected for it etc.
I can seem to add a new server but I wish to browse or see the settings of a server that is already being monitored.

Can anyone quickly point me in the right direct?

Thank you very much

Are you using Nagios XI or Nagios Core? What does the web interface look like?

Hello,

Thanks for the reply.

The web interface says Nagios XI.
I am at home right now but will reply tomorrow with more details.

Thank you

I am in Nagios XI from configuration monitoring tool I select configure your monitoring setup and it takes me to configuration options and from there I can only seem to be able to add a new device and I wish to change or browse a currently monitored device.

Thank you

First I will be moving this post to the Nagios XI section - it is currently in the Nagios Core section.

Second, we have a doc for just this sort of thing: https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... gement.pdf

Take a read through and please let us know if you have further questions.
