Warning: Notifying contact timed out after 0.00 seconds

Hi,

We just noticed that for a few alerts Nagios tries to send the WARNING or CRITICAL alert, but fails with this error:

Code: Select all

Warning: Notifying contact .... timed out after 0.00 seconds

Then we will just get the OK/Recovery notification.

But its not for all services only like 3 and only for CITRICAL and WARNING.
And if I execute the command manually (with same output, as logged) it works fine.

We are using a custom perl script as the notify-service-command, which we are using across multiple XI servers without any issues. I triple checked the script and don't see anything wrong with it.

Anything within Nagios that I can enable to help troubleshoot?

Any other suggestions?
