NSClient password - where in Nagios does it go?

Post by jwalters »

I followed the instructions on page 3 of "Installing_The_XI_Windows_Agent.pdf" and added a password in the box titled "NSClient password (only used via check_nt):". I'm trying to find this in NagiosXI but having a hard time, can someone point me in the right direction?

Thank you!

I resolved this issue by entering the password in $ARG1$ under the services management in Nagios Core Config Manager.

Hi Jason -

When you run the Windows Desktop or Windows Server monitoring wizard there is a link to download the agent. Right below the download link is where you'll find the "Agent Password" text field.
As of May 25th, 2018, all communications with Nagios Enterprises and its employees are covered under our new Privacy Policy.
