Ingress and Egress traffic?

Post by BanditBBS »

Is there a way to show bytes transferred by ingress and egress direction?

The data is stored, but we don't have a way to sort it yet.

What's the use case? Almost always that can be sorted using a query.

We are doing a POC here and my network group just asked. Apparently they are comparing it pretty heavily with Solarwinds and all I know is this is something they look at in Solarwinds from time to time.

See if you can get some idea from them of what they want to see in NNA and we'll feature request it up. Otherwise we'll see what JR has to say about the query sorting (admittedly NNA is not my strong suit).

Yeah Trevor, they are working on a comparison matrix document of the stuff they must have. Being able to see the ingress and egress data is one of the items. I'll post up a new thread once the doc is done, just so you guys can see what they are looking for.

Thanks for replying Bandit.
You could setup 2 separate flows on the device, one for ingress one for egress and send those to to 2 separate sources on the NA server. That may achieve what you are looking for.
