We already have the distributed monitoring setup in place and working.
What i do wonder though is i have a test machine in our own lan network. On this machine i have a nagios core running which monitors our local lan. To test the workstation monitoring i added my own pc on the fqdn name.
After a reload i still didn't see it popup on the main services screen. Is this because fqdn only works with passive hosts or is this a but in the core version?
On a side note i actually just noticed that i posted this whole thread in the NagiosXI forum even though its supposed to be in the Nagios Core section. My bad for that.
Monitor DHCP workstations
Re: Monitor DHCP workstations
It's difficult to say what the issue is without seeing any of your configuration. Can you post the relevant host and service definitions?
Re: Monitor DHCP workstations
I found the error while i was collecting the requesting data. It seems i forgot to add a host_name variable to the host itself.
Tnx for helping solving it though

Ok, thanks for the update. Glad it's working for you!
