Hello,
I would like to have some suggestion .
We have many hosts with the same type of services.
For example:
Host A:
Services: Cpu,memory,ping. Service check httpd
Host B
Services: Cpu,memory,ping. Service check httpd
Now since all the parameters of the services are the same, we could create one set of services and assign both hosts to it.
Where the question is.. when I setup a downtime for maintenance. I would like to “mute” the httpd service check and ping .
Example: I want to set a downtime for HOST A… I want to mute only those service and only for HOST A.
iF I create a service group including : service httpd and ping .. when I set a downtime it will mute all hosts correct?
In this case should I create a set of service per host…. Example Host_A_ping, Host-A_cpu etc.. and make a service group per host?

Re: downtime on servicegroup/hostgroup question
One cannot add a host or hostgroup to a servicegroup. But, you can schedule downtime for hosts and/or services independent of their membership to a hostgroup. So for "HOST A" you can schedule downtime for a single service only or for multiple services. In the UI go to Home > Scheduled Downtime > click the Services tab and the "Schedule Service downtime" button, then select "HOST A" from the drop down and proceed with the rest of the details = specify a service, start time/end time etc.
