Hello,
I have a functional Nagios XI server with all it's hosts and services and I would like to replicate it on to another Nagios XI instance.
What is the best document that describes the process?
I have found this document below but it is from a nagios core to XI:

Many Thanks,
Peter

Re: Replicate
What exactly are you looking to accomplish? Just a new fresh system? You should be able to do a backup and restore for this.

Re: Replicate
Hello Yes , replicating all hosts+ services of my current Nagios XI server to the new fresh server where Nagios XI is installed but there is no host or services.
Will that backup copy all hosts + services? or will I have to import them ?
Thanks,
Peter

Re: Replicate
You shouldn't need to, the backup and restore script should take care of it.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Re: Replicate
Hello,
Thank you for the prompt replies, that's great and simple
One more thing though, if I am trying to do the restore on an existing Nagios machine ( with existing hosts and services) and not a fresh one, will the restore overwrite everything or will append on the existing config?
Thanks again,
Peter

Re: Replicate
Your "existing" hosts/services will be overwritten (wiped out). If you want to preserve them, try importing the "old" configs to the "new" server manually (provided they are not too many).
