Scheduled downtime

Post by jkinning »

Once of the selling points for us with Nagios XI was the recurring downtime schedule. We thought we could plug in a years' worth of dates and have our scheduled maintenance automatically be picked up. So far this has not been the case and I've opened posts after posts pertaining to this topic. I even had an email support ticket. To be fair it does get resolved for the time being but then it appears again. Guess what? Yep, my scheduled downtime is again broken and not working correctly. I have hostgroups scheduled for downtime yet the date isn't even listed. Is there a permanent fix for this?

The mainframe hostgroup is correct but I have no idea why the Windows server hostgroups are being picked up. Do I have something configured incorrectly?

Attached to this post is a patched recurringdowntime.pl script that should fix the issue.
Copy it to the /usr/local/nagiosxi/cron folder, make sure you backup the old version.
Delete all of the old entries and see if this works for you.
