Hello,
I am receiving information from my passive checks on to Nagios XI. Is there a way to create a dashboard and put them in some kind of table?
Thanks,
Peter
Table for passive checks
Re: Table for passive checks
First, throw all corresponding checks into a service group: Configure > Core Config Manager > Monitoring > Service Groups > Add new
After you apply Config you'll see this new service group on the Home > Service Group Summary/Overview pages. The dashlets from those pages can be added to your custom dashboard.
To create a custom dashboard:
Dashboards > Add New Dashboard & name it
Now add the aforementioned dashlets to the new dashboard by going back to Home > Service Group Summary/Overview page - the dashlets on that page have a blue arrow in the upper left corner, click that and follow the prompts.

Re: Table for passive checks
Hello,
Thank you for the reply! and apologise for my late response, I was very busy lately.
I followed your steps but got a different table from what I was expecting.
The table I got sum up all services and doesn't show enough details. I have attached what I got (pic1) and how I wish for it be look like (pic2)
Do you think that could be possible ?
Thanks,
Peter

Re: Table for passive checks
Are you clicking the 'Servicegroup Summary' page or the 'Service Detail' page? Both of them are different pages, and you should be seeing your expected result on the Servicegroup Summary page.

Hello,
Thank you for the reply.
The attached image shows what I have in the service summary group page, but I would like a more detailed table with the checks values.
The table I need can be filtered in the service Details, but then, it cannot be added on to my dashboard.
I hope my question was clear.
Best Regards,
Peter

Re: Table for passive checks
I'm a bit confused - are you looking for the 'Status' information as well?

Re: Table for passive checks
Apologies for that, yes I am looking for the status information too.
What I had in mind is being able to add a table that has same columns as the service details page, with all the details ( Last check , Attempts, Duration , Status information ..)
Thanks,
Peter

Re: Table for passive checks
Currently that functionality doesn't exist.
If you click on the first icon next to your checks (passive) service group (on the page from your screenshot) it will show you all of your services from that servicegroup in a table but it doesn't work very well as a dashboard (using the Custom URL dashlet).
The URL is like:
http://YOURXISERVER/nagiosxi/includes/c ... RVICEGROUP
That should get you close.

Re: Table for passive checks
Hello,
Thank you for the reply. It does work indeed, but as you said it is not perfect since all components other than the table will appear from the URL.
At least I have a table now:)
Thanks!
