support and maintenance expired on 1969-12-31???
Hello,
We are suddenly getting a red alarming message box in Nagios saying our support and maintenance expired. And if I look in "Maintenance status" it says "Expired on 1969-12-31" while it should expire next July or August.
We did issue an order just yesterday to upgrade our 100-node license to 200-node.
Could this have something to do with the order? We have not got the new license code yet and you'd think the current one should not expire before we put in the new one...
Please help.
I can PM license code, customer number... if needed.
Thanks!

I am looking into this. Just so that we can judge the severity of the situation, is everything still working? Is it just this error with no obvious side effects?

What is your current version of Nagios XI? Have you tried anything like reentering information in XI > Admin > License Information?
Do you have any information on what may have trigger this? From a command prompt, what the output of date?

Yes the monitoring still works fine. No other obvious issue.dwhitfield wrote:I am looking into this. Just so that we can judge the severity of the situation, is everything still working? Is it just this error with no obvious side effects?

I just wanted to make sure you saw the other questions, which will help us determine the issue. Thanks!avandemore wrote:What is your current version of Nagios XI? Have you tried anything like reentering information in XI > Admin > License Information?

The only trigger I could think of is the license upgrade order that was submitted yesterday.avandemore wrote:What is your current version of Nagios XI? Have you tried anything like reentering information in XI > Admin > License Information?

The output of "date" on the Nagios server itself returned the correct date and time.
The current version of Nagios XI is 5.2.9.
No I have not tried re-entering the license code... should I? I am a little hesitate as everything looks ok except for that warning message and I don't want to make it worse.
Thanks

I do not believe it will make it worse but let's do a bit more digging first. Can you send a screenshot of the alert message?

My apologies, I should have been more specific. Can we get one showing "Expired on 1969-12-31"?
