NetFlow and IPFIX

Post by Cristhian_Plaza »

Hi, Im not sure if i can implement the Netflow and IPFIX protocols both on Nagios Core. The main idea is not use another tool only using Nagios Core. Thanks for attention.

Could you be more specific on what you mean by not using another tool? Nagios Core is built on plugins.

Nagios Core is not really built for NetFlow. That's what Nagios Network Analyzer does. That doesn't mean there aren't some plugins that might do what you want. That's why I asked the other question. Be aware though that we do not support all of the plugins, as many of them are written by third parties.

Hi thanks for reply. Yes, I know about plugins but I have looked for one and haven't found it. Do you know one to perform this job?

What exactly are you trying to measure? We might be able to figure out something, but like I said, Nagios Network Analyzer is our tool that is designed for what you want to do.
