Alert Notification time exceptions

How to have an alert not send a notification during a certain time period every day i.e. High CPU between 4am to 6am since it is know time when a process runs which CPU is expected to be high

You'll first want to define a custom timeperiod that excludes those hours. Here's an example:

Then you can apply that timeperiod to your service's alert settings:
