This plugin monitors the hardware health of HP Proliant Servers, provided that the hpasm (HP Advanced Server Management) software is installed. It is also able to monitor the system health of HP Bladesystems and storage systems.
From the sounds of it, you'll need to install the HP ASM package. See this page for more information - https://labs.consol.de/nagios/check_hpasm/

Additionally, it looks like you may be structuring the command wrong based on the documentation -

check_hpasm -H 10.0.73.30 -C public
This is a third party plugin so we're limited on the support we can provide here. From the sounds of the output, you may need to install the proper MIB / application though for it to interface with.

Just checking in since we have not heard from you in a while. Did @rkennedy's post clear things up or has the issue otherwise been resolved?
