i have polled cisco router ,which was successful
However i am getting the below error

We'd need to know the version # to be sure, but I think you'll find https://labs.nagios.com/2015/11/09/enab ... r-devices/ helpful.

Also, any chance there's a firewall for snmp, but not for ping?
