After looking at the JMX plugin it is from 2013 four years ago no updates and again probably no support. Is there any other JAVA plugins so support monitoring JAVA not the applications?

Did you ever give this a shot?

There are 77 Java plugins at https://exchange.nagios.org//directory/ ... nd-Servers . I poked around and didn't see any that are well-maintained, but someone else from the community could jump in if there is one they like.

Depending on what you need, something like http://www.net-snmp.org/docs/mibs/host. ... SWRunTable may work for you.

I would be happy to put in a feature request that a java plugin be added to our official plugins at https://github.com/nagios-plugins/nagios-plugins, but I doubt that's going to be a quick process.

Even if it takes a while it would be very nice ask for a feature request so that a java plugin be added to the Nagios official plugins. Thanks so much.

So, I initially did not send https://github.com/Sarek/check_java because it didn't have a release in 2 years. However, I discovered after digging a bit more that it did have some work 8 months ago. Just not an official release. It might be worth a look.

That said, I did create the feature request: https://github.com/nagios-plugins/nagio ... issues/279 . If you have other things you would like to see in the official plugin-set, please feel free to leave your own feature requests.

I do I track feature request: https://github.com/nagios-plugins/nagio ... issues/279 and know if they need my help for testing or when it is completed?

Thanks

You should be able to subscribe to the issue on the right under notifications on github.

2.3.0 would be the earliest a new plugin would be included, but I can't say for certain yet if that will happen, or when 2.3.0 will be out.

2.1.0 was released Jul 30, 2015.
2.2.0 was released Jan 19, 2017.

That is not to say that's how long of a wait it will be this time, but I think it's safe to say we won't see it this quarter. The github page is really the place to keep an eye on things for inclusion in our set, but if you have any other WebSphere questions, feel free to use this thread.

You're welcome. Did you want to leave this open or should we go ahead and lock it up?
