I am a purchaser of Nagios XI but am not sure how to get access to the other part of the forum so am posting here.#
We are currently running 64bit Nagios XI 5.4.4 on CentOS. We are currently having difficulty with email notifications, notifications will send to my user account but any more user accounts that I register, email alerts will not send to. If I do a test email from the webpage, this will go through and they can get notifications of new passwords but not service alerts. I have checked that they are set to be notified on the checks and they are. If I log into the user account and attempt to change anything under their own account properties, notification options, I get the following the errors:

Management of notification preferences is not available because your account is not configured to be a monitoring contact. Contact your Nagios XI administrator for details.
Notification Methods
This account is not defined as a Nagios contact. Contact your Nagios Administrator for more information.
Nagios XI notification handlers are not defined for this account. XI notification handlers must be defined in the Core Config Manager for customized notification settings.

Hi all,
Thank-you for approving this topic, I have managed to resolve the situation myself.
The issue appeared to be a 2 part issue, one was the admins being set as the only alert on the generic service template, I removed this.
The next issue appeared to be from when users are created from the wizard, if you select "Notifications Enabled", this then appears to disappear when the account is created and the user is disabled from notifications. However if I clone a user account, the "Notifications Enabled" option remains on the new cloned account and the notifications are received.
