Hi,
This is the first time I open a topic. I've surched in all existing topic without result, unless one similar but witout the end of the issue.
I deleted services from service group and service and don't appear anymore in CCM but they stil appear in the Dashboard as status "Critical"
I don't know how to add an image here
I've read the topic related to "Host and services still showing but don't exist in CCM - Lou" (https://support.nagios.com/forum/viewto ... 3&start=10).
It seems to be the same problem as we have here.
- Nagios XI 5.2.7
- No multiple nagios processes
- cat /proc/version
Linux version 2.6.32-696.1.1.el6.x86_64 ([email protected]) (gcc version 4.4.7 20120313 (Red Hat 4.4.7-18) (GCC) ) #1 SMP Tue Mar 21 12:19:18 EDT 2017
I tried all what was written in this topic without any success.
"
Go into CCM
Tools > Write Config Files
Click the Write Button
It will show an output of all the files it creates
Click the Verify button
The output should end with "Total Errors: 0
"
No warnings, no errors
[root@fr0-vsiaas-1945 nagiosxi]# echo "select * from tbl_service where service_description like '%PIPE Peering Link - Brisbane Status%' \G;" | mysql -pnagiosxi nagiosql
[root@fr0-vsiaas-1945 nagiosxi]#
I can see them in /usr/local/nagios/var/retention.dat :
- Service [A-F] [FlexNet] [15000] [Port] MathFlow dessci in the hosts bretx.fr.eu.airbus.corp, cadours.fr.eu.airbus.corp and caubiac.fr.eu.airbus.corp
- Service [A-UK] [FlexNet] [27000] [lmstat] SCADE ESTERELD in thr host uk4-app09.eu.airbus.corp
But when I delete them and restart Nagios, theys are always present in Dashboard but not in CCM even in service group and service
So they must be in the database then what can I do ?
Do I have to open an email support ticket? If it is, do I have to email the "profile.zip" to [email protected]. ?
Any assistance appreciated.
Cheers.
Stephane

Re: services still shown in dashboard but don't exist in CCM
In the process you ran, there was one step that was not in there, the delete files.
What you are seeing is that the CCM is not in sync with the running configs and if there are extra running configs, they would have to be deleted and then re-written.
Try this procedure and that should fix the extra checks.
Go to the Core Config Manager
Under "Tools", click "Write Config Files" or if you are running a newer versions of XI, The menu is called "Config File Management"
Click the click the "Write" button, then the "Delete" button then click the "Write" button and then the "Verify" button
If you get any errors, resolve them and click on the "Delete" button, "Write", "Verify" until all of the errors are resolved.
Click the Apply Configuration link and click the "Apply Configuration" button after all of the errors are resolved.

Re: services still shown in dashboard but don't exist in CCM
Thanks for all, all is ok now.
I forgot to "delete" exactly. I was not sure of what it would be done so I didn't try just not to break anything.
Thanks again.
How do I close this topic ?
