Custom Dashlets - Programming Tips?

Hello!

I'm interested where i could learn to make custom dashlets and a dashboard that is actually a custom webpage based upon your standard dashboard (Note: I have already done that but i have no way of editing the code, which is actualy what im interested in since - /usr/local/nagiosxi/html/dashboards/dashboard.php - is encrypted and is no help to me).

I think that might be better written as a custom Nagios XI component rather than cobbling together a static web page. You'll have a heck of a lot easier of a time doing that (I think) than trying to navigate a bunch of encrypted PHP code
