Hi All,
So I set a test up to monitor a specific connection that we knew was down. I unchecked all the service notifications except 'r'. We thought that would alert us not to the service being down, but when it got turned on. Last night the service was turned on and NagiosXI didn't send any alerts. We I first configured the alert, we received the notifications it was down, until I unchecked everything but the 'r'.
Is there anything else I should check/enable to ensure I receive a resume notification? On normal alerts where nothing is checked, we get all the alerts including the resume notification. Baffled why we saw the down alerts prior, but not the resume when the service was turned on, with all unchecked but the r.
cheers

Re: Service Notifications..?
You might want to check the notification preferences for the user that is receiving the alerts.
Configure -> My Account Settings -> Notification Preferences
Make sure "Service Recovery" is checked
Also, check the Contact in
Configure -> Core Config Manager -> Contact -> Modify Contact
And verify that under Service options* r is selected and that n is NOT selected
