Upgrading to 2.0

Post by BanditBBS »

My NLS still shows 1.4.4 and if I hit Check for Updates, the web page comes up and says up to date. Are the downloads updated to 2.0? I'm excited to upgrade!

Along those lines, is upgrading from 1.x to 2.0 as simple as previous upgrades, just follow same procedure?

We had some issues with the caching server earlier, but they are since resolved, so you should be good to go now.

As for how to do it, here you go: https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... Server.pdf

Happy Logging!

I just ran the prescribed Quick upgrade:

Code: Select all

curl https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nagios-log-server/upgrade.sh | sh
Yet, my /var/www/html/nagioslogserver/lsversion still contains:

Code: Select all

VERSION=144

I performed the Manual upgrade, and that worked.

The Quick upgrade failed to prompt me to continue after listing what I would need to active post upgrade.

Not going well, logstash keeps going down after about 30 seconds on one host and on the other the same thing as well as elestic search showing as up on the command line but not in the gui.

Update: I just did the upgrade in the last hour, so it is supposed to be the latest install, but still had the issue. So following the wiki I did this:

Code: Select all

/usr/bin/php /var/www/html/nagioslogserver/www/index.php configure/write_configs_for_node
and it seems to have resolved my issue!
